Air or airless spray, roller or brush. Do not apply at temperatures below 50 degrees F. or if rain is expected before coating has cured.
Mechanically mix each component separately, then mix again after combining parts A & B. Let stand for at least 30 minutes at a temperature of 70 degrees F. or above. Longer induction periods must be allowed between 50 degrees and 70 degrees F. to initiate chemical reaction before using.
Surface must be dry, free from dirt, oil, grease and other foreign contaminants.
Self priming on steel and concrete if there is likely to be an interval or more than 24 to 30 hours before recoating.
Mill scale and foreign matter must be removed by abrasive blasting. Weld seams must be brush blasted and receive 2 coats of a quality steel primer.
For atmospheric service, abrasive blast to a minimum SSPC-SP-6 Commercial Grade.
For immersion service, abrasive blast to minimum SSPC-SP-10 Near White Grade.
Masonry Wood and Wallboard:
Thin first coat of Pro Guard Epoxy 2228 by about 10% with Pro Guard Epoxy™ Thinner for better penetration.
